Yes, I think a holodeck experience is just what we need.
Since we have a reciprocal agreement, that means I get to make you one of several women that get bent over the police interrogation table and strapped til you confess. Hmmm...
What about this as an idea for us suffering together? What if we were partners on a crime spree and eventually got caught? We would certainly be interrogated separately and they might allow us to see one another get the strap to look like we were about to snitch on each other. But not giving in, they eventually decide to put us in the same room. With nothing to lose and thinking that the judge will throw out the case, they decide to give us a vigilante punishment.
Let's get the program together!

Let's Go To The Holodeck Tonight
Thinking again about the nostalgia of discovering the book store, reminded me of the time we came out to each other. It was that long trip up North. I remember riding with you while your wife road with my husband. Only you and her knew the roads and we all felt like it was a good idea to get to know each other. Boy was that right! I wonder what they talked about...
I remember how scared I felt to tell you about my predilection, my obsession. I had a good feeling you would be receptive. I knew you were open-minded and we had had that accidental conversation about corporal punishment. I felt like something was there in the way you talked about the subject. It made me think you wouldn't mind talking about it more. And as it turned out you didn't mind!
Anyway, tonight I thought that we should go to the holodeck. We can think of scenarios in which we each get punished separately and together. That way we can experience being the witness and also share the solidarity of suffering together.
I keep flashing back to that police interrogation scenario I read where they actually bent those guys over a table and strapped them until they confessed. Can you imagine that in a movie? That would be an interesting question to talk over afterwards...

What an Interesting Day
I remember that day as well... Even more interesting was when we met the couple that owned it. In fact they turned out not to be a couple but to be just good friends in the way that we were. But magic upon magic, we discovered through talking to them that they were just friends for the similar but opposite reason that we were. They were both submissive!
This was amazing! We actually found the perfect set of friends. Maybe we had maybe thought about the possibility, but never allowed ourselves to hope. There we were, each able to explore ideas in a literary and intellectual sense and get book recommendations with precisely the right kind of friend.
I would be able to talk to him about books and situations with men receiving the punishment and you would get to talk to her about the books and situations with women receiving the punishment. We'd thoroughly enjoy these conversations and be able to get right to the "good" stuff :) No more wasting time.
Where are we off to tonight then? Let's put in some time on the holodeck...

The Book Store
I still remember the first time we went to that book store. I remember you told me you had a good feeling about it. It was in a college neighborhood. You had to go downstairs to go to it and it had this old fashioned wood look and feel to it, based on the fact that it was old and had a lot of wood.
You could smell the books, old and new and it was cozy... almost too cozy. It would have been crowded if more people knew about it. I suspect many of their patrons were taken by B&N...
